The basic parameters of contracts and the types of contracts used in the cultural sector in Slovakia do not show many differences and are usually conceived similarly as in the Czech Republic. It should, however, be noted that there is a duty to contribute two percent of each royalty to the Literary Fund or another art fund depending on the artistic discipline. The important thing is that this duty does not apply to foreigners, i.e. it applies only to persons with permanent residence in Slovakia. An interesting difference also lies in the impossibility to conclude an agreement to perform work or an agreement to complete a job as an agreement governed by the copyright law (i.e. as an agreement containing the copyright element where the subject of the agreement consists in a copyrightable activity). Unlike Czech law, the Slovak legislation has one significant difference in the status of artists.
